Cosplayers

This weekend I attended my first science fiction convention and for the first time ever, I was seriously exposed to the social phenomenon known as "cosplay" firsthand... and for both very good and very bad reasons, my initial response was "wow".

...Wow for good, because when you find an occasional chick who actually looks like most female superheroes or anime characters, that is a VERY good thing... but wow for the bad because, I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Wearing spandex and miniskirts are entitlements and NOT unalienable rights!

As much as I'd like to share my own examples of why I would say such a thing in reguard to this topic, in the spirit of enjoying the convention, I refused to use a single kilobyte of digital camera storage on anything that makes my eyes hurt.
