Cooper PhD - Future Ghost Doctor

Here's one to piss off anyone who's ever had a hard time paying for university courses. It's a news story about a British kid who got a "psychic scholarship" from folks here in the US so he can study ghosts and psychic phenomena in his final year as a psychology undergrad.

Now, if you choose to believe in telepathy or want to study allegedly haunted houses for a living, that's cool and it's totally your business. Also, in fairness, this is not exactly a huge scholarship this kid is getting... but still ...until such things as ghosts and psychic phenomena can be quantifiably defined as something other than fantasy or pseudo-science, they should be kept out of academia and no one should be giving young people money to promote said phenomena as if they are subjects of real science.

...and if you have any real reason to say I'm wrong in my opinion, don't bother telling me. Just go take it up with these people and get paid: http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html
