Terrorist Beurocracy

One of the great ironies that now epitomizes the United States is that it was a country born in revolutionary terrorism, only to find itself at it's height, thrown into an all-out war against terrorism. Whenever I read articles about really stupid laws like the South Carolina Subversive Activities Registration Act, it makes me wonder; how soon is the wheel coming full circle?

Heres the law:

Now it's bad enough that the lawmakers in South Carolina actually wasted time on a law with logic based on the notion that traitors and other enemies of the state would wantonly identify themselves (and pay 5 bucks registration to do it), but it is this logic that is the same kind of old-world imperial style of solution-making that caused our forefathers to rebel. Well, maybe the SC legislature has started wearing powdered wigs and feeding on tea and crumpets.
