Politically Polarized Stupidity

I am aware that not everyone supports the current US leadership and we clearly live in an age where many Americans are scarily indoctrinated to one political view or another ...BUT... can someone please explain to me why anyone would actually pay money for this anonymous Minnesota billboard and what purpose it could possibly serve?

Something Both Funny and Not

According to a recent entry on Derren Brown's blog, the following film has failed to find a US distributor due to fear that it will be too controversial for American audiences.



It is a great thing that American ideals allow and encourage people to believe whatever they choose to, but are those beliefs causing the US to be the one highly developed nation on Earth where people get so locked into subjectively literal Judeo-Christian interpretations of divine will that they actually think the jury is still out on evolution? Well, on that note, I think I'll have to turn the floor to one of my all-time favorite Jews...
